Before You Schedule Appliance Repair: What to Have Ready

A little preparation helps the technician diagnose faster and increases the chance of a first-visit repair.

Before your appointment, gather:

• Appliance brand and model number
• A short description of the symptom
• Error codes shown on the display
• Photos or video of intermittent problems
• Proof of purchase or warranty details if available
• Clear access to the appliance, shutoff valve, breaker, or vent

Where to Find the Model Number

Refrigerator model tags are often inside the fresh food section. Dishwasher tags are usually on the door edge. Oven and range tags may be behind the drawer, around the frame, or under the cooktop. Washer and dryer tags are commonly around the door opening or rear panel.

If you cannot find it, that is fine. We can still inspect the appliance on-site.
